Summer is a time to savour the flavours of the season, and our palates are in for a treat. Disclaimer though, our HQ is in Auckland so we’ve stuck to what we know here with the vibrant and diverse culinary scene of Tamaki Makaurau… sorry. We’ll branch out soon, we promise.

• Delight your taste buds with the Korean meets Italian Cacio e Pepe Tteokbokki with torched cheese and truffle from Aigo in Ponsonby. YUM.
• Enjoy a cold beer and delicious burger while taking in the ocean views of Waiake, the most magical beach in Torbay at the newest Burger Burger
• Savour (or hoover depending on the hunger levels) some Chu-Hai and Karaage Chicken at Achoo’s K’ Road
• New Zealand’s answer to Cinnabon, we’ve been treating ourselves - possibly a little too much - to the Cinny Packs from Butter Baby.
• Embrace the warmer evenings with a classic fish and chips date on the beach. We’re loving Big J’s in Mt Wellington or you can brave the queues at Torbay Takeaways - so good it’s worth waiting for!
• Pie and a coke this smoko? Sorry Mrs Mac’s, we’ve upgraded to the Rollers Bakery in Northcote’s Chicken, Pesto and Brie Pie with an Ozone oat milk flattie

‘Tis the season to be jolly! If you follow us on Tik Tok, you know that Friday’s at head office are for cocktail wars. And lucky for you we’re going to share with you our fave so far, a refreshing summer cooler that’s the ideal adult treat for sweaty days and balmy nights.

Liv's Mango Melona Soju Cocktail

Ingredients:

• Melona ice blocks - find them here
• Peach soju
• Frozen mango
• Sprite

Method:

1. Fill glass about halfway with ice
2. Blend soju, mango and sprite to taste and pour into glass, leaving a little space
3. Add in a whole Melona ice block and use it as a stir stick until the ice cream melts into the drink
