In the whirlwind of 1964, a year peppered with memorable highs like Pop Tarts sizzling on breakfast plates, the Beatles serenading New Zealand, and the roar of the Ford Mustang hitting the streets, there was also of course the founding of Nike! With Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman at the helm, Nike burst onto the scene, igniting a revolution in the world of footwear that would shape the way we run, jump, and conquer the streets for generations to come.

STARTER : WAFFLES

With the first shoe sole being created with the help of Bills wife’s waffle iron (yeah the girls), after being served up a plate of life changing waffles. The grooves worked as additional traction when playing sports and proved to be an immediate success due to it’s grippy and performance driven design. I guess what they say is true – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

From track stars to basketball legends, Nike became the ultimate wingman, propelling athletes to greatness one pair of kicks at a time. And as the years rolled on, Nike didn't just conquer the courts and tracks, but the streets and runways too, forever changing the game with its iconic designs and boundary-pushing innovations. So, here's to Nike, the MVP of the footwear world, still sprinting ahead, leaving footprints of inspiration in its wake.
